Brunswick Mechanics Institute
Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre
Working with leading creative organisations across Melbourne, Mechanics Institute hosts a diverse cultural program of performance, film, talks and music, as well as classes, workshops and community celebrations. Behind the scenes, leading artists use the spaces year round to create new contemporary works.
The Brunswick Mechanics Institute accepts proposals for events and projects year round. We are interested in a broad range of projects and programs. We encourage local thinkers, contemporary creators and cultural innovators to get in touch about using our spaces.
We are flexible and modular, and can host a wide range of happenings from meetings and classes, rehearsals and developments, to public presentations of new work and community events.
We believe a diverse conversation is the only one worth having and herald projects that have diversity and inclusion at their core. We value projects that have integrated sustainability into all stages. We encourage experimentation and value the development of new work.
