Meat Market offers a variety of versatile spaces and the hottest creative events in Melbourne. Located just north of Melbourne CBD, we're a hub for arts, performances, exhibitions, festivals, markets and fairs.

Our spaces frequently accommodate theatre companies, artists, performers, artisan producers and creative practitioners with regular events scheduled throughout the year. With a collection of flexible spaces for hire, including our Flat Floor Pavilion, Cobblestone Pavilion, Stables, Meeting Room, Garden and Old Cafe, we're able to cater to events of all sizes. From intimate art exhibitions to impressive aerial performances.

Cobblestone Pavilion

Meat Market's Cobblestone Pavilion is a magnificent space steeped in history. Accommodating up to 600 people, the space features original cobblestone flooring and unique period details combined with modern technical equipment and contemporary requirements. With a dedicated commercial kitchen and bar area, food and beverage service is made easy. The Cobblestone Pavilion's bays add another 400m squared to the already expansive space.

As one of few venues in Melbourne with a custom-made circus truss, the Cobblestone Pavilion allows you to orchestrate intricate circus, aerial and creative performances. From technically complex creative performances and live music shows to corporate events, markets and functions, the Cobblestone Pavilion caters for productions of all sizes. The Old Cafe

Attached to the Flat Floor side of the Main Pavilion, the Old Cafe is suitable as a production office, dressing room, warm-up space or costume store. As a stand-alone space it is suitable for small meetings and rehearsals.

Please note that this room has stair only access from the Main Pavilion.
