Make-A-Wish Australia is a non-profit organisation; its mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Make-A-Wish has been granting the cherished wishes of seriously-ill children and young people in Australia since 1985, during which time more than 7,000 wishes have been granted.
It takes more than medicine alone to help these children. An international study found that Make-A-Wish wishes can make a positive difference to the physical and emotional wellbeing of children and their families.
With hundreds of children currently waiting for their wish to be granted, there is an urgent need for funding to ensure no child misses out on the opportunity to have their wish come true.
