Media interest in virtual community lazypolliewatch.com has gone through the roof with the website's creator's being inundated with calls.

So let me get this right. This is a government that gave us work for the dole, who reckons the disabled are shirking and through its IR changes is telling working families they must work longer and harder for less.

Tim never looked this sharp on his reality show. So we've all got to be more efficient and flexible at work, fair enough - you know do a few unpaid hours over time, be prepared to give up weekend penalties, sell off a few weeks holiday, and take the occasional four month paid break to go on a reality TV show.

Last one doesn't really fit? Well that's what Liberal MP Jackie Kelly is doing - scheduling a third of a year to go on Torvill and Dean's Dancing On Ice. Oh, these conservatives, I love them - there's one rule for the ordinary people and one rule for the ruling class.

After not signing the Kyoto Protocol, are Coalition MPs going to start cycling to work in hemp suits? After subsidising private health insurance, are they all going to go public? After being an uptight old thin-lipped wowser is Bronwyn Bishop going to start selling essential oils at the Byron Bay Markets? Probably not.

Fantastic hypocrisy.

Hang on, maybe it's opposite day in Canberra? What's next?

Well, this sort of laziness has annoyed me so much I've decided to start a website to combat it - lazypolliewatch.com. We'll be targeting any politician who's simply warming the backbench waiting for a healthy parliamentary pension. Especially if they're not practising what they're preaching. No matter what party, no matter if they're from state, local or federal governments. If you're going to serve in public life the least you can do is lead by example.

In the space of three days lazypolliewatch.com spokesperson Tim Brunero (ex Big Brother housemate) appeared on - Triple J's 'Hack' Current Affairs program (National), ABC Brisbane with Madonna King, 2UE Sydney with Stan Zemanek (Syndicated), Sydney's The Daily Telegraph, 2CC Canberra, ABC Central Coast, ABC Perth, 4BC Brisbane, SynFM 'Panorama' Current Affairs Program (Melbourne).
