Lancefield & District Farmers' Market
The Lancefield and District Farmers Market located in the Macedon Ranges near Hanging Rock for fresh seasonal organic and conventional produce.
The Lancefield & District Farmers' Market was established in March 2003 by the Lancefield Neighbourhood House as a way of connecting farmers' & food producers with the local community.
The market has 50-60 stalls depending on season and prides itself on a great selection of fresh produce, mostly organically produced alongside regional wines, honey, eggs, bread, pastries, fruit trees, herbs, live poultry, stockfeed, preserves, fresh pasta, olive oil & emu oil products, cheeses, meats including beef, chicken, lamb & pork (including smallgoods), puddings, potted herbs, exotic plants, worm products, fruit trees, soap, confectionery, wool, small livestock, livestock feeds, charcuterie, cut flowers, potted roses, bulk potatoes and more.
A community BBQ has local meats cooking, vegetarian foods & fresh juices available from Organic Sunrise, Asian flavours from Taste of the Orient & fresh baked burek from Illynka's Kitchen. Grab a hot Lotus Chai & relax under the trees.
Friendly dogs welcome on a leash.
The town of Lancefield is home to cafes, art galleries, a bakery, butcher, great bookshop, antiques & the best vanilla slices are available from the milkbar.
Runs on the Fourth Saturday of every month (except December, when it runs on the Third Saturday) from 9am-1pm on the Centre Plantation of historical High Street, Lancefield.
