Julian Assange

Julian Assange* is best known as the editor, publisher, and activist who founded WikiLeaks. Julian was born (3 July 1971) in Townsville, Queensland and has lived in several countries but importantly for us spent time living and working in Melbourne Australia. From 2003 to 2006, he attended the University of Melbourne studying physics, mathematics, philosophy and neuroscience. His return to Australia is possible due to the conclusion of a plea arrangement between Mr Assange and the United States Department of Justice, which was accepted by a United States court in Saipan.
