The Iwaki auditorium is a small concert hall that will comfortably seat up to 400 people. It is a performance space used primarily for music and radio production but could be applied to any number of events. It is based in the heart of Melbourne's performing arts precinct of Southbank.
The main space measures 600mē, has full orchestral lighting and pneumatic orchestral percussion riser.
The space is named after Maestro Hiroyuki Iwaki whose long association with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra resulted in him being named Conductor Laureate.
