Holgate Brewhouse is a proudly independent and family owned specialty brewing company. We are dedicated in the pursuit of re-creating classic beer styles, full in flavour and rich in character. Our brewing process and packaging is conducted under the one roof at the Holgate brewery in Woodend, located in the Macedon Ranges of Australia.
'Real beer' is a noble beverage, to be appreciated, savoured, enjoyed and discussed in the same manner as a fine-wine.. So have a look at our site - learn more about our beers, brewing process and philosophy.
Holgate beers are produced all naturally, the closest thing to experiencing the traditional brewing techniques of the 1700-1800s without actually being there! Our ales contain essentially four types of ingredients:
Malted barley and other malted and unmalted grains
Hops
Yeast, cultured and grown right at the brewery
Filtered water fresh from the Macedon Ranges
