It often begins with the mountains. The dream of the Himalaya's breathtaking scenery and a sense of adventure. But as many say, what truly makes the region unforgettable is the warmth, hospitality, culture and stories of the local people.

It was the people that inspired Sir Edmund Hillary's decades of life-changing humanitarian work. The very work that inspired the Australian Himalayan Foundation.

As we approach the anniversary of the historic ascent with Tenzing Norgay on 29 May 1953, the Australian Himalayan Foundation invites you to join an evening of community and connection, all in support of their education, health and environment programs in this beautiful and remote part of the world.

This year you will be treated to an incredible night featuring some truly remarkable guest speakers who have deep ties to Nepal, Bhutan and Ladakh. Listen to their powerful stories, enjoy delicious Nepali cuisine and celebrate the spirit of the Himalaya.

All funds raised on the night will support the Australian Himalayan Foundation's education, health and environment programs in remote Himalayan communities.
