Hawthorn Arts Centre

The Hawthorn Town Hall has been converted into a new heritage inspired arts and cultural space and renamed the Hawthorn Arts Centre.

The upgraded facility will support the presentation of diverse visual art and performing arts programs, civic events, as well as community and corporate activities.

The redevelopment of the Hawthorn Town Hall complex is in line with Council's adopted Arts and Cultural Strategy 2008-13 which states 'our vision is for a city of harmony where citizens can celebrate, share, express and experience a rich arts and cultural life'.

Our Arts and Cultural Strategy identifies the vision 'for a city of harmony where citizens can celebrate, share, express and experience a rich arts and cultural life' and recommends the redevelopment of the Hawthorn Town Hall as a key Boroondara Arts and Cultural facility.
