Winterlude: Winter Masterpieces at MARS
Escape the chill of Melbourne's winter with *Winterlude: Winter Masterpieces at MARS*, a vibrant group exhibition bringing together the work of thirteen contemporary artists. Running from 16 July to 2 August, the exhibition offers a colourful and thought-provoking retreat from the coldest days of the season.
Presented at MARS Gallery, *Winterlude: Winter Masterpieces at MARS* draws inspiration from Bob Dylan's song *Winterlude*, an ode to a sentimental interlude during winter that celebrates warmth, affection and human connection rather than seasonal discomfort.
The exhibition showcases an eclectic collection of paintings and contemporary works by Grace Cram, Lilli Stromland, Bobby Bowers, Dani McKenzie, Harry Rothel, Lily Walker, Kate Lewis, Tim Van, Tony Lloyd, Chantel de Latour, The Huxleys, Col Mac and Olana Janf.
Through diverse styles, subjects and artistic approaches, the participating artists explore themes of reflection, intimacy, imagination and the unique atmosphere of winter. Together, their works transform the gallery into a welcoming space where visitors can pause, connect and immerse themselves in creativity during the colder months.
