Garden TuscanyLocated down an old cobbled laneway, step foot into Garden Tuscany, the family-run business that has literally opened their backyard to lovers of gourmet Italian delicacies like wood-fired oven pizzas, quality coffee and homemade delights fit for chocolate lovers.
Pizza-maker Sam and his pocket-rocket wife Stella Maurici bring their Calabrian heritage to fruition by opening their garden's doors with a homely welcome and great tasting food. Their son Lance, head barista works his magic with the bean to produce a well-balanced coffee or mouth-watering and authentic hot chocolate to your liking. And with the convenience of the internet, Sam and Stella's other son Ricki lent a helping hand all the way from London by creating the cafe's website.
Reminiscent of a quaint trip to a Tuscan village, Garden Tuscany is surrounded with lush evergreens, garden herbs and the cafe's centrepiece, the wood-fired oven, which is surrounded with terracotta pots and wrought-iron tables and chairs with mosaic table-tops.
Boasting a small but gourmet menu that includes a variety of salads and gourmet pizzas all made with fresh ingredients for the savoury tastebuds, let their desserts whet your appetite with an array of hand-crafted truffles, chocolates, scones and mini cupcakes all made by Stella, especially the traditional Italian pizzelle, a light wafer biscuit served best with Lance's freshly ground coffee blend. And if that doesn't satisfy your appetite, dunk some freshly made crunchy donuts (aka churros) in the finest melted chocolate.
