Gallerysmith is a contemporary art gallery which exhibits and actively supports the careers of artists from Australia and the South East Asian region. The gallery presents around twenty solo exhibitions each year across three spacious gallery spaces.
In addition to the three main galleries downstairs, Gallerysmith also operates a project space on level 1 (formerly known as Purgatory Artspace).
Gallerysmith Project Space showcases a carefully curated program of exhibitions by up-and-coming practitioners and offers a new model for connecting emerging artists with established collectors.
Proposals are selected with a view to programming a calendar of engaging exhibitions across a broad range of media and critical approaches.
