The Emerald Arts Society, established 40 years ago, has been part of that tradition and for over four decades has been a vital center for the promotion of all aspects of both visual literacy and performing arts.
The Cardinia Council and local sponsors have supported the Society's endeavors for many years, and continue to do so to the benefit of all concerned.
Emerald more than any other ward in the Shire of Cardinia, has a long and established history of artistic and cultural community involvement.
Many famous Australian artists and writers, poets, musicians and crafts persons have lived in the hills since the 1800's and have contributed and continue to contribute towards our National identity.
