The original Yarra Valley planting of 10 hectares, established in 1971, have now increased to more than 160 hectares, making the vineyard one of the largest in the region. The winery has been upgraded recently and this year crushed over 4000 tonnes. Grapes were sourced from both the estate as well as premium fruit from other Victorian vineyards.

The company vineyards produce an array of varieties including Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel.

Marginally warmer than Burgundy but cooler than Bordeaux, the Yarra Valley is where cool climate viticulture and dedicated winemaking have created some of the best wines in the country.

The De Bortoli Yarra Valley Winery produces some of the finest red and white table wines available. It is sold under the GS Reserve, Melba, Yarra Valley, Gulf Station and Windy Peak labels.
