BYRDI was born out of a desire to adapt to our environment.
To take culture and cuisine, inspiration and idea, and make it our own. No matter what city we make home.
When no two places or seasons are ever the same, why should we be? It's evolution that makes us who we are today.
Coming home to Australia to nest, now more than ever we're focusing on local produce, creating experiences reflective of the season, and not consuming beyond our means. With the help of local producers, BYRDI delivers encounters of which, no two will ever be the same.
We, Luke Whearty & Aki Nishikura are bar operators, restaurant innovators and drink creators.
Between us we have over 20 years' experience and it's all led to our latest venture, BYRDI.
Creating a uniquely Australian experience with a strong sense of time and place is our mantra at BYRDI and we are excited to welcome you into our home.
