Bundoora Community Market Launches at RMIT Uni this Saturday

A new weekly market is opening at RMIT University's Bundoora campus, with Bundoora Community Market set to run every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from 3 October 2026.

The free, family-friendly and dog-friendly market will take over the P1 Car Park at 225-245 Plenty Road, bringing together growers, food producers, independent makers, small businesses, community organisations and members of the RMIT community.

Fresh produce will be a regular part of the market, alongside artisan and handmade goods, baked products, hot food and coffee. RMIT also lists local beef, poultry and pork among the produce visitors can expect, with children's entertainment and community stalls forming part of the weekly program.

Opening day will introduce several food and produce traders. Tallarook Produce is bringing seasonal vegetables and seedlings, while Urban Farming Collective will have fresh and specialty mushrooms, mushroom-growing kits and other products.

Baked goods will include naturally leavened breads, Swedish seeded rye, sourdough, cinnamon and cardamom buns from Inner Swedish Baker, along with stone-baked breads from 2 Castles Bakery. The prepared-food line-up includes German dishes from Grillz Master and Taiwanese gua bao from A-mis Taiwan Food.

The launch will also feature live entertainment and family activities. Eligible visitors can receive a $5 market voucher to use with participating stallholders while stocks last, and a free weekly prize draw will offer products and prizes contributed by market traders.

The market is operated by Brightworth Group in collaboration with RMIT University. RMIT students, staff and alumni are also being invited to participate, with a limited number of free stalls available each week for businesses, creative projects and community initiatives.

Visitor parking is available on campus. RMIT's Bundoora campus is also served by Route 86 trams along Plenty Road, with stops providing access to the east and west sides of the university.
