Hungarian food is acclaimed for its wonderful flavours worldwide, and in the tradition of the classic Hungarian restaurant, Budapest Restaurant's menu has an enormous range of Hungarian, European and modern fare.

Of course you'll get an amazing Goulash, but you can also look forward to dishes like Stuffed Capsicum, Eye Fillet Budapest and our famous schnitzels.

Our head chef, Viktor Sallay, is a native of Budapest, Hungary. He has over twenty years cooking experience in a variety of cuisines including Hungarian, Russian, Italian and Modern Australian. He was head chef at the Brighton Savoy Hotel. He then ran Melbourne's most famous Hungarian kitchen at the Newmarket Hotel in St. Kilda which was frequently reviewed and recommended in newspapers and on the radio. Now, together with his partner, David Buchler, he aims to bring to Melbourne an authentic Hungarian menu in a warm, casual and friendly environment.

We offer a discounted Happy Hour every night and wonderful Live Music every Tuesday.

Dinner: from 5pm 7 days a week
Lunch: 12 noon - 2:30pm Sundays
