Bentleigh Farmers' Market
Reconnect with Victorian food producers and farmers direct at the new Bentleigh Farmers Market proudly managed by the East Bentleigh Primary School/Parent Committee.
East Bentleigh Primary School was part of the Bentleigh market garden area until the 1950s and horses would haul carts full of fresh vegies from the area into Melbourne.
This project in conjunction with the introduction of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen program some years ago embraces the schools philosophy of creating a nurturing environment for the students to learn and grow. It includes a guide to healthy eating and the importance of sustainable farming practises.
Entry is by $2 donation with funds collected to be directed to the school garden program.
We are plastic bag free so BYO trolley basket and bags.
Accredited Victorian Farmers' Markets Association market.
Bentleigh Farmers' Market is held on the 4th Saturday of each month (8am - 12.30pm) except for December when there is a special twilight Christmas market.
