Be Aware Be Prepared

The City of Melbourne's 'Be Aware Be Prepared' campaign aims to educate people about emergency management plans tailored to meet their needs.

Emergencies can happen without warning and with devastating effect, so it is important to prepare yourself and your property.

Understanding what to do in an emergency can save lives. Everone is encouraged to obtain a copy of this free booklet and start work on a personal emergency plan.

The City of Melbourne has produced an emergency checklist and handbook titled 'How Prepared Are You In An Emergency?' in a range of accessible formats for people with disabilities. Formats include braille, audio (CD and cassette), large print and easy English.

The easy English and audio versions are available online. If you require a different format, please contact the City of Melbourne on (03) 9658 9658.
