Just eighteen months ago, Tedesco expanded her artistic practice beyond painting and into the world of three-dimensional model making. In a remarkably short time, she has developed a distinctive body of work that combines technical precision with a keen eye for observation.

Her meticulously crafted dioramas depict scenes from the urban environment, including litter-strewn bus stops, graffiti-covered dumpster bins and abandoned industrial buildings. Executed with extraordinary attention to detail, the works are all the more impressive given their miniature scale.

Drawing inspiration from the gritty underbelly of the places she knows best, Tedesco explores the overlooked corners of suburban and industrial life. Her work reflects both the realities of the urban landscape and the stories embedded within it.

A significant influence is the underground graffiti culture that emerged in Frankston during the late 1990s. The energy, creativity and visual language of this movement can be seen throughout the exhibition, adding layers of authenticity and local identity to her miniature worlds.

Visitors will be captivated by Tedesco's astutely observed and affectionate portraits of place. Through her intricate models, ordinary and often overlooked environments are transformed into compelling works of art that celebrate the unique character of Melbourne's urban fringe.

*Street Stories* marks an exciting new chapter in Tedesco's artistic practice, showcasing a body of work that finds beauty, humour and meaning in the everyday spaces that shape contemporary urban life.
