Adam Hills in Gordon Street Tonight
After a shaky start, Adam and the team had one of the most enjoyable live shows on television.
A Melbourne tradition, live Tonight Shows go on to become part of our every day lives and without doubt Adam and iGST will do the same. We all watched the first few shows wondering whether Spicks & Specks would affect a new Adam Hills project. It took a little while, a few nervous moments but now iGST rocks along from one highlight to the next.
My one complaint about ROVE was the show was very contrived and had few (if any) live spontaneous moments, something iGST has already produced. Red Faces, ABC style will show the human lizard walk for years to come..
As will a world-first.. Mass same-sex TV Wedding. Was it just me that felt very proud as British comedian Stephen Fry sent his congratulatory message of support.

Adam Hills is one of Australia's best known comedians, mainly as the four time Gold Logie nominated host of his two hit ABC TV series. When he isn't dominating the Australian TV landscape he is usually somewhere in the world with a mic in hand doing his day job - globetrotting stand up comedian.
Adam regularly tours the UK, Ireland and Europe as well as taking time out to perform at the world class Montreal Just For Laughs comedy festival, where he has performed more times than any other Australian. He's also won a Helpmann Award, performed for the Queen, alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Lady GaGa and Bette Midler and hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics for ABC TV, a role he will be taking on again for the 2012 London games.
Hannah Gadsby's stand-up career began in 2006 when she was 'discovered' at the Hobart Comedy Festival. Later that year she went on to win the national final of Raw Comedy, second place in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's So You Think You're Funny? contest, and the prize for Best Newcomer at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2007. Hannah has toured her stand-up shows to every comedy festival in the country, New York, Montreal, Edinburgh and New Zealand, and she's been a guest on Good News Week, Spicks and Specks and has filmed two documentary specials for Artscape on ABC TV. Hannah is currently writing her first book, based on her 2007 stand-up show and this is due for release shortly, and in 2011, she released her first stand-up DVD Kiss Me Quick I'm Full of Jubes through Madman Entertainment.
Dave O'Neil has been in the business of comedy for over 20 years, and is one of Australia's most recognisable stand-up comics - performing shows at 12 Melbourne International Comedy Festivals.
