Designed by award-winning architects Six Degrees, ACMI X is a 2,000 square metre state-of-the-art office space in the heart of Melbourne's arts precinct and a first for an Australian museum.
Established to provide a home for Melbourne's creative practitioners, ACMI X is a brand new co-working space that assembles a vibrant mix of filmmakers, digital and visual artists, digital producers, web developers, screenwriters and designers. Reserved solely for individuals, collectives and businesses working with the moving image, we're fostering a creative culture that champions collaboration, innovation and sustainability.
By providing infrastructure and a community platform that enables discovery, learning and growth for individuals and businesses alike, creative fusions and cross-disciplinary partnerships emerge from the energy and collaboration between co-workers and ACMI's own creative employees at ACMI X.

ACMI X events are free, but booking is highly recommended to ensure your place.
Functions, corporate events and venue hire
Part of our new creative industries co-working space and designed by award-winning architects Six Degrees, acmi X Social Space is a versatile function room with in-house audio visual, as well as natural light that can accommodate groups of up to 120 standing and 40 seated.
Getting to ACMI X
Level 4, 2 Kavanagh St, Southbank VIC 3006
ACMI X is located in the Australian Ballet Centre on St Kilda Road.
Take the pedestrian bridge behind the Arts Centre or the lift from Kavanagh St to Level 4.
ACMI X is wheelchair accessible, including the bathrooms in the Ballet Centre. Please let us know when you book if you have other accessibility requirements.
ACMI X is inside The Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre building, part of the Southbank arts precinct among many of Melbourne's arts organisations.
While the street address is Kavanagh St, the best way to get to ACMI X is to follow the walkway between the NGV and the Arts Centre. Behind the Arts Centre you will see the blue ACMI X sign across the overpass.
