Preston Market

Preston Market

Preston Market has been successfully running for over 30 years and remains one of Melbourne's traditional markets.

The market opened in 1970 and by 1976 the market had grown to include 46 green grocers, 15 delicatessens, 4 fish shops, 4 poultry shops, 19 butchers and a variety of small goods shops including toys, clothes, carpets, plants, and sporting goods.

You can't go past Preston Central; with its huge range of food, fashion and general speciality shops, free parking and trams, trains and buses to our door. Its all here!

The unique atmosphere is spread out over two street blocks with a diverse mix of traders and multi-cultural performers playing on every corner.

PRESTON MARKETA thriving bustling market located next to Preston Station which is a 20 minute train ride from the CBD in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

It is noisy but part of the experience as market traders compete with each other shouting their prices and bargains.

The large fresh meat and fish section of the market is surrounded by the produce and wares which cover almost every type of product.

You will meet happy traders willing to advise and make your shopping an experience.
