Ventana is a celebration of the Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese cultures, with events and exhibitions in Frankston throughout March and a special Ventana Carnival to get the party started.

Experience a traditional Santería Cuban Beach Ceremony to celebrate the beauty of the environment through ritualistic chanting.

Afro-Cuban Dance Workshop

Join in this traditional Cuban dance workshop led by Christina Moneron and immerse yourself in the infectious beat and rhythms of powerful drummers.

Argentinian – Paraguayan film by Luis Zorraquin
Guarani and Spanish language with English subtitles

Part road trip movie and part coming-of-age drama, the film portrays two generations of Paraguayans whose views of the world seem centuries apart. The long journey will make Atilio and Lara understand the real meaning of traditions and family bonds.

Evening Program: 6pm featuring a short film and two feature films including complimentary drinks & refreshments

Searching for the family songs that were sung around the kitchen table, Jessie Lloyd explores the day to day life on the missions, settlements and reserves through music that shed light into the history of our Indigenous elders, families and communities. Mission Songs will perform with one of Australasia’s best known and respected World Music folk groups Inka Marka, performing sections of the Misa Criolla.
