The Art Of Music | Sand Sculptures



Sand sculptures amazing all in the Macedon Ranges.

Enjoy the worlds talented Sand Sculptors create masterful works of art that represents their feelings and inspirations of the art of music.

About 45 mins drive from Melbourne, the picturesque Macedon Ranges is the perfect backdrop to inspire some of the worlds most talented sand sculptors to come and sculpt in the regions first ever sand sculpture exhibition. Sand art gallery presents "The art of music"

Sand art gallery is organised by Rosie and Leo, located at the prestigious Cope Williams winery, 160 Glenfern road Romsey. We Invited eight of the worlds most talented sculptors to carve 20 tonnes of sand each to the theme of "The art of music" set in the first ever gallery type formation. This is an exhibition to inspire and delight everyone. A must for anyone to see the details that are able to be produced in sand.

Each 20 - tonne sculpture took seven days of enthusiastic work to create, usually sculptors have to battle with the elements but in a first in Australia our sculptors got to carve under majestic dome tents imported from Holland by Wow structures.

Proceeds from ticket sales go to the Cope Williams arts foundation which gives local students and artists access to a grants and scholarship fund, in the areas of music and art.

The event offers you the opportunity to see sand created into art, you can spend as little as an hour or a whole day just wandering around the gallery, with a full cafe offering delicious coffee and food, plus the wine from Cope Williams your day will be a memorable one. For the little ones a massive sand pit awaits for them to dig and create in.

Over the next few months Leo will be showing you his skills in creating a masterpiece out of sand, he has been perfecting his craft for 15 years so this will be a must to see. Or come get inspired to have a go by watching Rosie have a go at sand sculpting for the first time. Art is a great way to connect to your core self and express your energy.

The gallery is open everyday from 10:30 to 5 with entry only $10 and children 12 or under Free entry | Tickets
With a membership for only $15 you can visit the gallery unlimited and really enjoy the beautiful sculptures, the cafe and the property.

Come and meet our sculptures and see who created them, countries represented so far in this event are from Russia, Holland, Cheq republic, Belgium, Poland, Canada, Ireland and Singapore.
