For children aged 8-12, Robokids are excited to offer a new 3 day robotics camp using the sophisticated EV3 Lego Mindstorms.
Over the three days, children will have the opportunity to build and program multiple robots. Each robot uses the LEGO Mindstorm motors, gears, and sensors in different ways which requires different sets of programming skills. Children will collaborate with a partner and discuss ideas & problems with other children.
A number of challenges will be presented to the children over the course of the camp. Depending on which robots they choose, these may include navigating mazes, traversing bridges, sensory line following, avoiding obstacles, rescuing objects and much more!
Any children who have already completed a Robokids workshop or after-school program will work in a separate group to build upon the skills they have already learnt.
No experience necessary, beginners and advanced roboticists are all welcome!
Children will need to bring a packed lunch as food will not be provided.
