* Ride the Night 2017 *
Ride the Night is Australia's biggest mass participation night time cycling event. As the clock hits midnight on 28th January 2017, thousands of riders will take to the streets of Melbourne, Hobart and Brisbane to Ride the Night, raising funds to break the cycle of disadvantage. The start festival will kick off at 9pm on Saturday 28th January and riders will get set to Ride the Night from 11pm until sunrise. You'll see your city like never before, riding alongside thousands of others to raise awareness and funds to brighten the future of today's youth. Ride the Night Melbourne will be held on Saturday 28 January, 2017. The ride will commence at 11pm, but we'd love for you to join us at the Event Village from 9pm where there'll be plenty of music and colour - paint and lights - so you can help us brighten the future of our youth! Where: The Event Village will be located on Aughtie Drive, Albert Park. Once the ride commences, you'll head off on either a 64km or 42km ride around Melbourne's most iconic landmarks, The 2017 route includes new and old favourites, such as: Luna Park and Port Phillip Bay Docklands Melbourne Zoo Melbourne Museum and the Royal Exhibition Building The MCG and Melbourne Park Royal Botanic Gardens and the Shrine Yarra and Maribyrnong Rivers The 2017 Route We've revamped the Ride the Night Melbourne route for 2017 with 45% of it brand new and are excited to share some great new additions: Two ride options now available - 64km or 42kms Three new rest areas at Burnley Bouldering Wall, Melbourne Museum and on Racecourse Road under the bustling Citylink overpass New riding along the Maribyrnong River, Melbourne Docks and around the Melbourne Zoo More use of Melbourne's amazing bike paths and cycling 'highways' - Canning Street, Footscray Rd and the Maribyrnong River Cycle Path
