The Ray Besserdin Exhibition
Witness the extraordinary paper sculptures of Ray Besserdin on display at Rippon Lea.
"As a child I looked at a piece of paper and got excited at all the possible things I could create with it. Nothing has changed."
Running daily from now, visitors who opt for a guided tour of Rippon Lea Estate will be able to witness the extraordinary paper sculptures of Ray Besserdin on display in the Drawing Room.
With 24 awards under belt, and works ranging from miniature to gigantic, and from abstract to ultra-realistic, Ray terms his signature style as ‘Impressionist Sculptured Paper', using a mix of handmade and mould-made sheet formed cotton and mulberry papers from Europe and Asia.
Experience his surreal and emotive works on your next tour of the mansion. Works will also be available for sale, with part of the proceeds going directly to the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).
Exhibition tour included with general admission tickets, subject to volunteer guide availability.
Tours are 45 minutes duration and run from 10.30am to 3.00pm
