Exhibition | Pets are people too Bayside Gallery Pets are people too brings together Australian artists whose work reflects on the intimacy and affection that exists between humans and animals. The exhibition both celebrates the multi-faceted ways that our pets enrich our lives as well as reflecting on the humour and pathos they bring. It's a wonderful opportunity to view works by some of Australia's celebrated artists who reflect on a topic close to their heart. The exhibition is a collaboration between Bayside Gallery and Arts Project Australia. Artists: Catherine Bell, Matthew Gove, Anastasia Klose, Bronwyn Hack, Kate James, Noel McKenna, Tim McMonagle, Kathy Temin, Jenny Watson The Psychology of Pets - Saturday 17 August, 2pm - 3pm Celebrate National Science Week and our latest exhibition, Pets are People Too, with this fascinating panel discussion on the psychology of pets. Hear from leading pet behaviouralists and passionate pet advocates about how and why your pets think, act and feel. Expert Panel - Dr. Liz Walker, CEO, RSPCA Victoria - Kira Ryle, Founder, Trainer and Alpha Mama of Canine Code - Anastasia Klose, Animal Rehoming Officer and artist featuring in Pets are people too - Dr. Melanie Rockman BVSc. MANZCVS. (Veterinary Animal Behaviour), lecturer & GP Veterinarian This is a free event but, with places limited, bookings are essential. Doggie Day Out at Bayside Gallery Saturday 31 August, 1pm - 5pm We're letting the dogs in for one afternoon only. Bring your four-legged friends to Bayside Gallery for a fun-filled afternoon of activities, treats and to see the exhibition Pets are people too. This is a rare opportunity to appreciate art with your best friend. To ensure a smooth day, please make sure your doggy is fully vaccinated, on a leash at all times and is socialised and generally non-aggressive to people or other dogs.
