Melbourne Warehouse Music Festival



From Aussie Rock legend Jack Jones to ABC Young Performer of the Year, concert pianist Hoang Pham and National treasures, Jacqui Dark and Kanen Breen in their cabaret duo The Strange Bedfellows all in a hidden inner-city warehouse. It doesn't get any more 'Melbourne' than that.

Award-winning Concert Pianist (ABC Young Performer of the Year) Hoang will play a beautiful program of Beethoven and Chopin including Beethoven's 'Pathetique' and 'Moonlight' Sonatas. 'Pham is not most pianists and his boldness was evident from the very first bars of the Beethoven which he attacked with unusual vigour - a walk on the wild side of Beethoven.' (Formerly the Parkville Ensemble) Kammermusik is a flexible chamber ensemble of members from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.

8pm THE STRANGE BEDFELLOWS

Multiple Green Room award winners Jacqui Dark and Kanen Breen detonate across the footlights in a debauched and greasepaint-spattered riot of musical abandon with musical director Daryl Wallis. 4 piece all-female Celtic Festival favourites Bhan Tre have a huge and loyal Melbourne following. Performing a mixture of traditional Irish tunes and original songs with a Celtic flavour.

3.30pm THE FURBELOWS

If You like The Andrew Sisters and Django Reinhardt then you'll LOVE The Furbelows. Combining close harmony vocals with a hot club swing rhythm section they are the ultimate 1930's party band.
