The exhibition Koorroyarr presents works by Gunditjmara Keerray Woorroong artists and sisters; Kelsey and Tarryn Love incorporating possum skin, weaving, sculpture, wood, and canvas.
Koorroyarr translates to ‘granddaughter' in the Keerray Wooroong dialect.
The sisters are inspired by their Aunties, Uncles and Elders that teach them traditional stories and practices. Their combined works reflect a contemporary style, as they continue to learn, revive, and reinvigorate traditional aspects, while exploring their own identities as individuals in a modern setting.
