The intimate monthly vegetarian degustation returns to Fitzroy.
Here's where to get your next fine-dining green fix: chef and yogi Paolo Arlotta (formerly at Vue de Monde and Tipo00 and ex-head chef at Kinfolk) is hosting more instalments of Herbivorous Nights a monthly celebration of vegetarian fine dining.
The intimate Mediterranean-influenced dinners feature seasonal sustainable local produce with a focus on low-waste healthy dining. The menu changes each month so every dinner service will offer a different experience.
The May dinner featured six courses including endive with caramelised buttermilk and shiitake essence; risotto cooked in whey koji butter and grapefruit; and eggplant tiramisu with cardamom.
This isn't Arlotta's first pop-up: he's done stints at Host Private Dining Room and even a secret location but this is the first venture where he's pulling all the strings from the menu to event planning.
There are three seatings available: 6.15pm 7.30pm and 8.45pm. Tickets are $70 per person; drinks are additional.
The next dinners will be held on June 7 July 5 August 9 and September 6.
