Springvale Neighbourhood House is celebrating diversity to mark Harmony Day on Sunday 17th March.
Our Harmony Festival is a free, family event featuring an International Dress Parade, Concert of Many Cultures, community stalls, free cultural activities to try and a Cultural Food Park.
The event promotes understanding and respect for diverse cultural, linguistic and religious groups.
The Festival is a celebration of diversity through appreciation of the cultural costumes and performances, and sharing different cultural experiences such as Chinese fortune-telling, henna hand painting, Chinese tea tasting, Oromo coffee ceremony and, one of the favourite activities, Dress Like an Egyptian.
Free activities for children include face-painting, a colouring completion and free show bags.
Held in Harmony Square, 225 Lonsdale St, Dandenong. The festival starts at 12 noon on Sunday 17th March and finishes at 7pm.
