Screening Open to the Public, Meet Emmy Award-Winning Filmmaker

Brain Injury Australia's 7th National Brain Injury Conference will host the Australian premiere of the award-winning documentary 'Going the Distance: Journeys of Recovery' ' the stories of four survivors of severe Traumatic Brain Injury. It features US Marines Corporal Jason Poole, above right, who sustained catastrophic head injuries from a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq.

The documentary was awarded 'Most Inspirational Film' at the 2017 Oregon Documentary Film Festival and was an Award Winner at 2018's Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.
The documentary's three-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, David L. Brown, will be attending the Conference to introduce the film. He will also screen the 'World Premiere' of an update on the lives of the documentary's four stars.

A gold coin donation would be appreciated to support the work of Brain Injury Australia ' advocating for the 700,000 Australians with a brain injury.
