Compassion Booth | Melbourne City Mission

Melbourne City Mission's Youth Action Group's Compassion Booth in Flagstaff Gardens this Thursday, 21st September - the International Day of Peace and Non-Violence (11am - 4.30pm), which this year's theme is 'Respect, Safety and Dignity for All'.

Event Details:
Date: Thursday September 21st 2017
Location: Flagstaff Gardens, 9/311 William St, West Melbourne, VIC 3003
Time: 11am- 4:30pm

The booth has been designed to spark a conversation between diverse groups and inspire acts of compassion from individuals on this important international day. They've also organised for a videographer to be on site to record people's comments and experiences - to feed into a short film YAG will be creating and distributing later this year.

The YAG members are setting up a marquee, bean bag and an interactive space in Flagstaff gardens, and will be handing out compassion cards to prompt people to discuss their experiences of inequality and compassion on issues of:
- Gender
- Race and Culture
- Homelessness
- Indigenous Rights
- Mental Health
