Explore the Melbourne suburb's multicultural dining scene from Uyghur kebabs and Cantonese roast duck to Indonesian coffee flipped upside down to drink.
About 19 kilometres south-east of Melbourne's CBD, Clayton is home to an exciting, diverse and often unsung food scene.
In collaboration with Clayton Traders' Association, food writer Dani Valent is hosting six culinary brunch and dinner tours, over the Lunar New Year period, to spotlight and celebrate the suburb's multicultural dining.
Punters will be guided through dishes from a range of cuisines including Chinese, Malaysian, Korean and Indian.
Try Uyghur kebabs, Cantonese roast duck, Malaysian laksa, Korean bingsu (shaved-ice dessert) and (on the brunch tours only) kupi khop, an Indonesian coffee that's flipped upside down to drink.
Tours cost $85 per person and can host up to eight people.
Unfortunately, no dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
