To celebrate and honour the life of Nicholas Duncan, who passed away suddenly early this year from a fatal heart attack, some of Melbourne's finest local bands have gathered together to celebrate his life and raise some much needed funds for Heart Research Australia.
It may be surprising to some of us in the community that Heart Disease and Heart Attacks claim more four times as many lives as Breast Cancer and three times more than Prostate Cancer, but often doesn't get as much attention as these other illnesses.
Heart Research Australia is a national organisation that raises funds for research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and associated medical conditions. With current research including the use of stem cells to repair damaged heart muscles, heart function in premature babies and identifying triggers for heart attacks.
Helping us out on the night will be Mojo Pin, The Sweets, The Fish Heads, No Stairway and Neon Queen with DJ's playing on the night between bands as well.
Workers Club Fitzroy, Sunday 26th June
Doors at 6.30 and entry fee $15, with all proceeds on the night going to Heart Research Australia.
Hope to see everyone down there on the night!
