Channels Festival: International Biennial of Video Art 24 August - 15 September 2019 The 2019 Channels Festival reflects on the urgent, unstable and fluid nature of our times Rolling out across Melbourne and beyond over three weeks, the 2019 Channels Festival highlights Australian and international artists working across video and performance. The program features exhibitions, new commissions, screenings, performances artist talks, lectures, conversations and discussions. Curated by Artistic Director Kelli Alred, the 2019 Channels Festival seeks to expand notions of difference, connectivity, power and place. Participating artists have been invited to develop and present works that deconstruct notions of belonging, complicity and resistance. The 2019 Channels Festival is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and the City of Melbourne.
