Big Bugs on the loose

What giant bugs have escaped today? Is it a giant cockroach that you will see or perhaps a swarm of bees? Or could it be a redback spider, dragonfly, jewel wasp, bombardier beetle or praying mantis?

To celebrate the opening of Bug Lab: Little Bugs, Super Powers, large scale bug puppets will be buzzing around at Melbourne Museum. Bug Lab: Little Bugs, Super Powers is Melbourne Museum's newest exhibition and a creative collaboration between Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington, New Zealand, and five time Academy Award-winning studio, Weta Workshop.

See some of our bugs on the loose from 1pm to 3pm, Every Sunday from 13 August-17 September.

Puppets made by A Blanck Canvas and Sanctum Theatre.
