About the Artist in Residence
Melbourne-based artist Angelina Mirabito brings a background in Creative Writing (PhD) and a practice shaped by her Italian heritage. Working with unconventional tools-palette knives, sticks, hands, ladles-she builds layered surfaces that translate internal experiences into vibrant, tactile paintings. Her work explores the intersection of emotion, movement, and materiality, drawing attention to the physical and sensory depth of abstract expression.
