Circus Oz was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1978. Formed by a group of Australians with an interest in defying the laws of theatre and physics and has gone on to be a major innovator in the field of physical theatre.

Circus Oz performances are developed in Melbourne by a creative team of circus artists, designers, musicians and choreographers led by the company's artistic director. The performances feature a collection of multi-talented performers specialising in acts of strength, grace, daring and the ridiculous.
