| The Arts Centre is the flagship of the performing arts in Victoria, and the focal point of Melbourne's cultural precinct, owned by the people of Victoria. Each of the 3 unique venues impresses from the moment you arrive. For sheer imagination, glamour, individuality and impact, a location synonymous with the Arts is unsurpassed. The Arts Centre offers the latest in audio-visual facilities, boardrooms and foyer exhibition spaces. The Arts Centre includes Hamer Hall, Theatres Building and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. In association with some of Australia's top performing arts companies, and an array of national and international companies, we present a unique diversity of arts and entertainment choices all year round. We are committed to exciting new and larger audiences whilst also addressing the needs of regular performing arts patrons. Hamer HallLocated north of Theatres Building (closer to Princes Bridge, the Yarra River and Flinders Street Station) and home to BlackBox, Soundhouse and the Concert Hall. Redevelopment Hamer Hall is currently being redeveloped to make the facility even more accessible, providing a better experience for audiences, and ensuring that it can continue to attract and present a wide range of top international and local performers. Theatres Building Under the Spire, contains the State Theatre, Playhouse, Fairfax Studio, George Adams Gallery, St Kilda Road Foyer Gallery and Cafe Vic. |
