Welcome To Melbourne Events

This informal social event has been designed to help you meet other people who have moved to Melbourne.

You may like to bring your own business or personal card to share with other people you meet or a small notepad and pen if you are given information from others that you would like to keep.

We usually attract between 50 and 100 people each month. We encourage everyone to move around during the evening so it is easy to meet other people. Everyone is most welcome and you can continue to attend other Welcome to Melbourne events as frequently or as infrequently as you like.

It is designed for people who have moved to Melbourne, from the country, interstate or overseas. This includes expatriates, migrants, international students, Australian repatriates, people on work assignment etc. People visiting Melbourne. You can come on your own or with other people.

You can be any age, children can come with you.

In the past, this event has attracted both men and women, some single, some in relationships, some who have come on their own, some who have come with other people. Some people come on a regular basis and others only come once.

These people have moved to Melbourne from countries all over the world, and have spoken many different languages and had many different faiths. Some are Australians who have returned to Australia after time overseas and others have lived in Australia a long time but still felt the need to connect with other newcomers (and share their wisdom and advice).

Whatever your story, you will be welcome at our events.

Welcome to Melbourne (Second Friday every month) 6-8pm
