Maton Guitar Factory Tour

The Maton Guitar Factory tour will take you on a journey to see how Maton guitars have been created from start to finish by our craftsman, as they have been done for over sixty-one years.



Tours are conducted by John Mortlock, who worked for founder Bill May for more than 35 years, or May’s daughter, Susan Ellis. You will see how the instruments come together piece by piece, many of them fashioned from Australian timbers such as Queensland maple.

• Tours are conducted every 2nd Thursday from 10.30am until 12 noon.
• Please contact reception on 03 9896 9500 for availability.
• Cameras are allowed.
• Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
• Tours are no-charge.
