Footscray Market

Footscray Market is a large indoor market with a large range of produce and general goods opposite Footscray Railway Station.

This frenetic covered food market is laden with seductive produce: you'll find lotus flowers, pigs' ears, coriander and cassava root. There's also an excellent range of fresh seafood.

Stalls: 33 food, 50 general

Tuesday and Wednesday 7am-4pm
Thursday 7am-6pm
Friday 7am-8pm
Saturday 7am-4pm

Tram 82 from Moonee Ponds; bus 402, 404, 406, 223, 216;
Train to Footscray station.
Parking: 800 spaces
Melway: 42 D4

The Footscray Market should not be confused with the Melbourne Wholesale Market, which is often referred to as the Footscray Traders Market.

Footscray Market did NOT have a web site until, egad, May 2012 we noticed www.footscraymarket.com.au, sadly down for maintenance.
