Dandenong Market

Dandenong Market

Dandy Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and has operated since 1866 with a huge variety of products and produce at low prices.

WHAT WILL I FIND AT THE DANDENONG MARKET?

-:- a traditional cultural cosmopolitan fun shopping experience
-:- a shopping haven relatively untouched by time
-:- Everything on your shopping list
-:- Fresh fish, chicken, meat, fruit & vegetables, nuts and dried fruit
-:- Clothing for all ages including pre-loved clothing
-:- Gifts, crafts, plants, jewellery, hardware, nuts, toiletries ...
-:- Cakes, confectionery, bread

Our stallholders are various nationalities, so the variety and type of produce can often not be bought in supermarkets.

In October 1866, the Market was officially open for business.

In 1926 the Market was relocated to its existing site on the corner of Clow and Cleeland Streets, and in 1958 the livestock section of the Market moved to the area on Cheltenham Road, behind the Dandenong railway yards.
