Alexandra Timber Train | 2nd Sunday

Alexandra Timber Train | 2nd Sunday

Train services are a steam-hauled train on the second Sunday and a diesel-hauled service on the fourth Sunday of every month. Diesel locomotives replace steam on days of Total Fire Ban.

When you visit don't forget to call in to see the refurbished Rubicon forest display room. This room is very close to the heart of the ATT's mission goals and we are very proud that this special display room has been updated.

The Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum is a tourist railway and museum situated in north-central Victoria. There you can see a recreation of the bush sawmill and tramway era of the Rubicon Forest from 1900 to 1950. We have also rescued and preserved a wide range of industrial locomotives, rolling stock and machinery.

The ATT is open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of every month.

Trains operate on all public holidays except New Years Day, Anzac Day, Good Friday, Cup Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Over Easter we operate on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday with additional machinery displays working.
